# Backgammon — provenance

**Original work, written for ExeBrowser.** `backgammon.js` and `index.html` in this
directory were written from scratch for this site. There is no third-party
code, no decompiled binary and no extracted artwork: the board and pieces are
drawn with CSS.

Licensed **MIT**, the same as the rest of the ExeBrowser frontend.

## Rules implemented

Standard backgammon without the doubling cube: bar entry, blocked points, hits, maximum-dice and higher-die rules, bearing off, gammons and backgammons.

The rules of traditional board games are not copyrightable. The computer
opponent is our own search and evaluation code.
