# Rise of the Triad: The HUNT Begins — shareware

Apogee Software, 1995.

## Why this is hosted here

The HUNT Begins is the freely-distributable shareware episode. The included VENDOR.DOC permits distributing the shareware version (no written permission is needed for on-line distribution) and forbids distributing any registered version. The registered game, Rise of the Triad: Dark War, is NOT included; it is still sold.

Retrieved 2026-10-01 from DOS Games Archive:
https://www.dosgamesarchive.com/file/rise-of-the-triad/huntbgin-box
(the huntbgin-box package). Removed: three icon files the archive added. Every file of the shareware release is retained, including VENDOR.DOC, LICENSE and ORDER.FRM.

Original game files plus a `.jsdos/dosbox.conf` DOSBox configuration, which
is the only file added.
