About Arctic Adventure
Arctic Adventure runs on the same engine as Pharaoh's Tomb, with every level shown on a single screen, and adds an overworld map for choosing levels. Nevada carries a pistol with limited ammunition, picks up pickaxes to break ice blocks, finds keys for locked gates and needs a boat to cross frozen lakes. Lives are unlimited within a level, so a death means a retry rather than a game over. There are four episodes of twenty levels; the first was shareware and the other three were sold by Apogee. The final level of each episode opens only when the others are done.
How it runs here
This is the original DOS release of Arctic Adventure, unmodified, running in DOSBox compiled to WebAssembly. The whole game is about 1 MB, so it starts within seconds on a normal connection. Sound and music play once you click into the game.
